The Democrats will push for expanded Medicare in their 2020 platform. The only question is how far they will go in the expansion. Just like most social advances in our Country, it will probably be an incremental approach. Something like offering Medicare to people at age 50 or 55. This will benefit both the Medicare and private insurance industry. It will get younger people into the Medicare program and older people out of the private health insurance market. That is a win/win situation for both.
