Why a total solar eclipse is probably something that other planets never see


   Why do we get a total eclipse of the Sun on Earth?  To get a total eclipse the size of the two objects and the distance from Earth have to be exact.  It our case the Sun is 400 times the size of the Moon and the Moon is 400 times closer to the Earth and the Sun.

   This is what we will see in Howard County.

I love the pictures MSL gets of Phobos. They are awesome. I am willing to bet Pluto can get a decent eclipse going, but I have not done the math to work it out.
