Sunday August 10th starts the annual tax free shopping week in Maryland for qualifying clothes and shoes. This annual back to school event is designed to keep Maryland shoppers in state for these purchases. It makes sense as I remember a time when our August beach week in Delaware always included a school clothes shopping trip to one of the outlet malls near Rehoboth Beach. Thankfully those school shopping days for us are over and now we can get something just for us. Getting a 6% price break along with many stores holding sales this time of the year might make the malls a little more crowded in Maryland this week.
