When you come around the DC Beltway just past Silver Spring the lit Mormon Temple comes to view about the tree line. When our kids were young we told them that it was Disney World and they believed us! No time is better to view this temple up close than at Christmas. With over 600,000 lights is is something not to be missed. The display is on until January 2nd. Be prepared for heavy traffic to get up to view the lights but it is worth the effort.
