Are children best raised by a father and a mother?
Busy evening and a couple of the blogs I was working on are not ready to post so I thought I would call it a day and post a You Tube video that became popular earlier this year when the Iowa Legislature was considering taking away the rights of gays to marry in Iowa. It is relevant as we approach our Maryland Legislative session and gay marriage will again be brought up in legislation. I guess I can't help but think of the contrast with how heterosexual marriage has been degraded by the recent example of Kim Kardashian's sham marriage. The argument that kids are best raised by a father and a mother will once again be brought up as a reason to oppose the Maryland legislation. Loving families raise the healthy children regardless of their make up. Watch the video again.

I'm having trouble with the sound in the video, but this? --> "Loving families raise the healthy children regardless of their make up."
100% YES.
The question as you phrased it is: "are children *best* raised by a mother and father?". The answer to that is almost certainly yes, for reasons that should be obvious in the context of human evolution.
Human procreation right now requires a man and a woman. Raising children is a different question than procreation. Besides it is only a matter of time before science comes up with a human way to have people of the same sex to procreate
Wow. Do you believe in evolution? It doesn't sound like it at all. I think you need to spend more time reading Matt Ridley's "The Red Queen" and less time reading Jezebel.
