Columbia BikeAbout

This year's Bike About is Saturday, Sept. 17.  Here is the information from the Columbia Archives:

There is still time to sign up for Columbia BikeAbout. It’s free and fun for cyclists of all ages.

The 10.6-mile route starts at the Downtown Columbia Lakefront and follows the new multi-use pathway to Howard County General Hospital before picking up pathways and sidewalks through parts of Town Center, Hickory Ridge, Harper’s Choice and Wilde Lake.

This self-paced ride along the very well-marked route features sites of interest that include the origin of Hickory Ridge place names, the construction of Wilde Lake, the history of the Middle Patuxent Environmental Area, and the discovery of 19th century graves. There is even a chance to take in the Wilde Lake Community Picnic that is taking place at Wilde Lake from 11am to 3pm

Registration is not required but encouraged.
