Something for your summer "to do" list

It's summertime now  and everyone's attention shifts to graduations and summer vacations.  This time of the year also experiences blood supply problems.  The demand for blood doesn't taper off in summer but the blood donations can fall sharply.  This frequently leads to cancellation of certain less critical surgeries.  Plasma for cancer treatments can also be in short supply.  Last year by July the blood supply had reached its lowest level in 15 years.
Locally we can easily donate blood at the the Red Cross donation center at 10400 Little Patuxent Pkwy Suite 400, Columbia, MD 21044.  Put donating blood on your summer "to do list" and maybe save a life.
