Join the Columbia Archives for a couple of happy hours on Friday, December 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. to reminisce about Columbia while you are surrounded by things that might help jog some memories. Sharing stories about Columbia is a great pastime for many, judging by the popularity of the Facebook group, “You know you grew up in Columbia when ... .” However, we know you don’t have to grow up here to play the game; it can be equally fun for parents who raised their children in Columbia or recently moved here. Have you ever thought, “You know you haven’t lived in Columbia long if you still have trouble finding a gas station,” or “I know Wilde is spelled with an ‘e’, but why?” Whether you’ve been here for two months or 20 years, we invite you to bring your memories, and any burning questions, about this place you call home.
Refreshments will be provided. Books about Columbia will also be on sale for those wanting to bring the memories home for the holidays. Columbia Archives is located at 10227 Wincopin Circle in Columbia Town Center. For directions or more information, please e-mail Columbia.Archives@ColumbiaAssociation.com or call 410-715-3103
P.S.
We all know how kids today have an increasing rate of Type II diabetes. Not surprising when you see what many kids are being fed at breakfast. I am not sure how a parent today can feed this stuff to their kids:
