Martin Luther King Memorial

Yesterday I took advantage of a beautiful Fall day to go down to DC to see the MLK Memorial and it is impressive.  It is on Independence Ave near the Lincoln Memorial.  The only problem is no real parking near the Memorial unless you get lucky.  But the nice weather was great to hike from parking over a mile away.

The words of MLK in granite around the Memorial makes one wonder if we have any great orators around today.  Kind of diminishes the folks in the debates today if they haven't already done that to themselves.

Finished off a great day with the beauty of driving through Rock Creek Park at the height of the Fall colors. We should all take advantage of living so near a beautiful city like DC.
