The Republican debates are simply chaos, with everybody just trying to get a word in edge-wise.

The Democratic "debates" are if anything worse, because they're boring. O'Malley's not running for President; he's running for VP or any Cabinet post Hillary Clinton would deign to offer him. So he'll never say anything controversial at all. His entire repertoire consists of slams of Republicans, the NRA, and other perceived "enemies," combined with pablum statements about "aren't all us Democrats wonderful?"

Sanders will occasionally say something interesting, but he knows he's not going to win and I don't think he really cares about winning. So he'll always back down instead of press the issue when he's got an advantage.

And Hillary's just trying not to blow it this time. As long as she doesn't mess up, she'll walk down Pennsylvania Avenue. Occasionally she'll throw out a minor gaffe (Wall Street supports you because of 9/11? Really? Not because your husband made them super-wealthy, you've done all you could to make them even wealthier, your son-in-law is a hedge fund manager who used to work for Goldman Sachs and 3G Capital Management, and they believe you're one of them? Wow.) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
